We’re looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and scale our data infrastructure from the ground up. As our first dedicated data hire, you’ll play a critical role in setting up data pipelines, analytics, and governance, enabling smarter decision-making for both our internal teams and customers.
You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to design and implement scalable data pipelines, integrate analytics tools, and lay the groundwork for advanced data-driven features. What will you be doing
- Design & implement scalable data infrastructure – Set up data pipelines, data lakes, and transformations to power analytics.
- Develop real-time analytics & dashboards – Ensure both internal teams and customers get the insights they need.
- Enable smart, data-driven product features – Help embed analytics directly into the FixForm platform.
- Ensure data reliability & security – Establish best practices for governance, compliance, and scalability.
- Work cross-functionally – Partner with engineers, product managers, and even customers to make our data work smarter.
- Future-proof our data stack – Make technical decisions that will support growth as we scale.
About you
- Experienced in data infrastructure – You’ve built ETL pipelines, worked with cloud data platforms, and optimized databases before.
- Comfortable in a startup environment – You take ownership, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact role.
- Strong analytical mindset – You can extract valuable insights from data and communicate them effectively.
- Curious & resourceful – You seek out information, challenge assumptions, and document solutions clearly.
- A team player – You enjoy working with engineers, product managers, and business teams to solve real problems.
Technical skills
💡 Must-Have:
- SQL & Python – Your go-to tools for data transformations and analysis.
- JavaScript (Vue) and PHP (Laravel) – To integrate data within our platform.
- Familiar with Cloud platforms AWS or Azure (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, S3, Lambda, or Airflow)
- BI tools – Familiarity with AWS QuickSight, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Data modeling & warehousing – Strong understanding of data governance best practices.
- APIs & data integrations – Experience with external data sources and integrations.
✨ Bonus Points for:
- Experience with embedded analytics, AI/ML, or NLP.
- A passion for facility tech, proptech, or IoT.
